About Me

Gary Thoburn
I have been Birdwatching since the age of about 4, when my Dad and I would bird our local wood or little reservoir. As most of us have, i took a break for a few years while playing football and finding the local pubs!!! I got back into Birding after my Sunday football team folded up, and then a trip to California, on which i realised, to my surprise, i recognised lots of the birds i was seeing! I started photographing birds after buying my first camera aged 14, after the same break i started again through Digiscoping and have since moved onto digital SLR's. This has become an overwhelming influence on my life these days. But, i do still enjoy a beer or two, as many people who know me will admit too.
