After receiving an email from an Ex-Pat, from St Briavels, now living in Canada, asking about Hawfinches etc in the Forest of Dean, i took my first (well sort of) birding tour.......just the two of us, so not really a tour is it? We both only had the morning, so we met up and tried a site for Hawfinches, they didn't show too well, but enough for him to get a lifer! I managed to get him some others too, including what we would consider easy birds, Long-tailed Tit was one of those! We also got lucky with a bird i had not expected, not at Nagshead RSPB anyway....Kingfisher!

During a chat, while waiting for the Hawfinches to show, we realised we had swapped emails before! It was concerning the Yellow-green Vireo, which i had found in Vancouver, Canada last year! Now that shows it is a small World!
