Common Whitethroat (Male)

   A trip to Ham Walls RSPB, Somerset, didn't produce much really in the way of bird photos. Except an unusually showy Common Whitethroat...

   I did manage a lifer though, a Water Stick Insect (Ranatra linearis).

   What a strange looking creature! But, does exactly what it says on the tin.....its a Stick Insect, which lives in the water, obviously....amazing what you can find out there!
